Starting summer 2022, we're offering faculty members the opportunity to update existing courses to incorporate explicit intercultural competence goals and design thinking principles.
Small grants of up to $1500 are being given to support the explicit integration of ICC learning activities and outcomes into existing undergraduate courses. Funds may be used to buy materials, or simply to have the time to read on ICC and make changes to a given (existing) syllabus.
The outcome of the grant should be either a revised syllabus, which must be ready by the end of the summer (August 15, 2022) or a teaching module that can be incorporated into one or more syllabi in a given field or subfield.
As of the end of the spring 2022 semester, the deadline for new proposals has passed, but information about the grants as well as guidelines for proposals can be found here. You can find more information about intercultural competence here.
